Arusha Coffee Lodge is ideally situated on the outskirts of Arusha, just a five-minute drive from Arusha Airport (ARK) at the foot of the volcanic Mount Meru, making it a wonderful place to begin or end a Tanzanian safari or Kilimanjaro climb.
The lodge comprises thirty Plantation Houses, including twelve Plantation Suites, set within a lush working coffee estate and designed around the original landowner's early 20th-century home. There are several dining options to enjoy, from the garden buffet lunch in the beautiful grounds to the Grill Room's menu of locally sourced produce, the all-day Bistro with its international dishes and wood-fired pizzas, and 24-hour room service for those on early or late flights. Guests can discover the story of the estate's coffee through tours of the plantation and tastings at the lodge.
Set within the grounds, Traders' Walk brings together a wonderful collection of shops and experiences including Shanga's workshop and boutique, Tanzanite One for ethically mined tanzanite jewellery, the Soko gift shop, and Jikoni, an authentic African kitchen. Guests looking to unwind will find the Peaberries Spa, offering a range of massages, pedicures, and manicures, located alongside the swimming pool. Nearby excursions include a visit to a Maasai market, the Museum of Natural History, or a day game drive with picnic lunch to Arusha National Park.
