Sustainability & Conservation
Our commitment to sustainability is a comprehensive journey toward net-zero emissions, guided by a zero-tolerance policy on single-use plastics and rigorous monitoring of our ecological footprint. From composting organic waste to fertilizing our on-site culinary gardens, we operate a circular ecosystem that prioritizes resource efficiency. As signatories of the Glasgow Declaration and certified by Responsible Tourism Tanzania, we maintain the highest industry standards through regular environmental audits, ensuring that every stay contributes to the responsible management of our natural heritage.
Beyond our environmental stewardship, we foster deep connections with the local community through impactful social enterprises and healthcare partnerships. We are the proud home of Shanga, an in-house initiative providing meaningful employment to over 65 talented individuals living with disabilities who craft exquisite glassware and textiles from recycled materials. Furthermore, our support for Kafika House enables life-changing rehabilitative surgeries for children in Northern Tanzania, ensuring that our presence serves as a powerful catalyst for both conservation and human flourishing.
