Shanga collaborated with Kukua and a consortium of leading brands to create the Business-to-Business Lounge at KARIBU-KILIFAIR 2026, contributing handcrafted recycled glass pieces that helped transform the 300 m² space into a welcoming environment for networking and collaboration. As East Africa's largest tourism trade fair, attracting more than 550 exhibitors and over 1,000 international buyers, the event provided an exceptional platform to showcase how sustainable design and inclusive craftsmanship can enhance world-class hospitality experiences.
Shanga used the opportunity to showcase some of its new lighting installations, both in the Shanga lounge as well as throughout the entire B2B lounge with several commissions on display, from table lighting, to chandeliers, a bar installation and floor lamps.
The partnership showcased how thoughtful design, sustainability and social enterprise can elevate the visitor experience while highlighting Tanzania's creative talent on an international stage.
