Located on a rocky kopje within Loisaba Conservancy in Laikipia County, Loisaba Star Beds boast sweeping views over a sprawling valley and permanent waterholes, all while wild animals roam freely amidst the African wilderness. The guest experience is like no other. The four tented rooms are immersed in lush nature, each featuring the iconic rolling beds that are wheeled out onto the open platform at nightfall allowing guests to sleep beneath an uninterrupted canopy of African stars. Days are equally rich, with activities including game drives, guided bush walks, horse riding, camel safaris, mountain e-biking, fishing, and the opportunity to witness anti-poaching work in action. Guests also enjoy fantastic cuisine along with special dining experiences such as bush breakfasts and sundowners.
Following the landmark 2024 rhino translocation, Loisaba is now also home to a growing population of 27 eastern black rhinos, with six calves born since the programme began. Guests can now look forward to the rare chance of encountering rhino alongside elephant, lion, leopard, and buffalo, making this an extraordinary destination for those seeking a Big Five experience within a deeply conservation-led setting.
